The Parish Council has been informed that the company Reach Active will be undertaking excavation works on Wendlebury Road near Bicester Avenue.
These works are to install new high voltage power and Thames Water infrastructure and will be done in consultation with Officers at Oxfordshire County Council to ensure the least disruption.
A southbound closure of the Wendlebury Road between Bicester Avenue and Shoulder Way is planned together with a no left turn at the Shoulder Way junction to the Vendee Drive roundabout for northbound traffic. These restrictions will be in place from 23 September until 18 October with a local diversion route in place.
To get to Bicester, villagers will need to drive all the way down the Wendlebury Road to Bicester Avenue, exit onto the A41 southbound, drive up to the Vendee Drive roundabout and double back on the northbound carriageway.
The easiest way of getting into the village will be via the southbound A41 junction nearest the village which the majority of people currently use.
We have been assured that every effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum during these works.
